Arthur Delay is a screenwriter who graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 2025. He also holds a Master of Arts in Film and Media from the University of Copenhagen, writing his thesis on political campaigning on late night talk shows.
Arthur is a polite man who writes screenplays because they permit him to be impolite. He is interested in creating absurd worlds with magical elements. These worlds are a rebellion against our physical reality and its incapacity to describe how reality really feels.
Arthur is also very fond of awkward and anxious characters desperate for human connections. Before attending the National Film School of Denmark, Arthur wrote and directed the short film ‘Baby Christina’ about an anxious young woman travelling back in time to try to change herself as a child.
Arthur is critical of the notion that films mainly become important if they reference political subjects which are part of the zeitgeist. He is a strong believer that films should always try to expand the cinematic language to elicit emotions. He wrote an article on this subject for Soundvenue in 2023.
