Christian Rom has been making films since he started at ‘Station Next’ in 8th grade. Later, he attended the European Film College, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Dramaturgy and is a graduate student at the film school, Super8, as a screenwriter.
Christian’s writing often revolves around the existential, the relational, and that which sits just outside the rational. It frequently lands somewhere between the sensitive and the strange, the comic and the tragic.
Christian has already created incredible films, which have been selected for festival. At OFF (Odense Film Festival) 2025, he had three short films selected for which he was a screenwriter.
‘Efter Oskar’ (After Oskar) was nominated for Best Danish Short Film of the Year, ‘Den Der Leer Sidst’ (The One Who Laughs) was nominated for the Filmfyn Storyteller Award and ‘Mindi’ was shortlisted for a Robert.
