As Media Director Naja Nielsen is responsible for Swedish public service media SVT’s platforms, including SVT Play, Sweden’s biggest streaming service. She oversees publishing strategies across own and third party platforms and the company’s fast adoption of AI.
She has led digital transformation and growth in Denmark, the US, the UK and now Sweden, deeply driven by the value, she believes media can bring people and societies – if they dare reform enough – and fast enough.

Before SVT, she was the Digital Director of BBC News, the Chief Journalism Officer of Orb Media and Head of News at DR. In 2014 she spent half a year at Stanford University as a visiting scholar studying what media should learn from – and fear from – the tech industry.
