Vincent Degiorgio is the CEO of Cymba Music Publishing. Cymba is an acronym for “Crushing Your Music Business Apathy”.
Driven by a passion for music steeped in great songs and brilliant arrangements, Vince’s decades long career includes tenures as a multi-platinum songwriter, record label owner, club DJ and music publisher. During his A&R days in New York, he was responsible for bringing *NSYNC to RCA Records. As a songwriter, his hits with Caro Emerald, Love Inc and many more continue to soar and his collaborations have been recorded in over a dozen languages.
Nominated in four consecutive years by the Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors for Best Indie Publisher – Synch Team, Cymba is home to 20 artists and writers, including sync artist of the year nominee Logan Richard, alt pop rockers The Absolute Losers and the Polaris prize long list nominee, Kelly McMichael, to name a few.
A mentor to the industry, he has served on innumerable boards and continues to serve on the executive committee as treasurer of Music Publishers Canada.
Vince is based in Toronto and spends his summers scouring for jazz and bossa nova CDs in Tokyo record stores with his wife and daughter.
