Christian Mogensen is the team lead and senior advisor to the Danish Tech Ambassador in Silicon Valley. Christian has spent his full career working to ensure that policymakers, parents and professionals understand the dynamics of the internet, even as it rapidly changes from one trend to another. His academic work focused on the social dynamics of gaming communities and forum-culture, which in turn laid the foundation for understanding more sinister corners of the digital sphere.
Christian has worked intensively with digital counter-cultures, including politically radical environments, gender-based violence, strategic harassment and targeted abuse online.
His work has starred in several TV-shows, documentaries and radio specials. As a diplomat in the technological crucible of Silicon Valley, he works to ensure that technology is never far removed from human rights, democratic values and equality for all.
Christian’s work focuses on two pivotal questions:
Are we more or less human within the veil of digital anonymity, and Is more innovation always good? -If so, for whom?
