The software behind Vionlabs’s AI is cabable of analyzing the feelings and moods of specific scenes and sequences in your favourite TV series, and it uses that data to strenghten the algorithms used to recommend you your next Netflix show to binge.
At its core, it is really all about understanding what storytelling is. A war movie is not just a war movie. Films about similar stories and events can have two very different emotional storylines, and they leave us in two very different emotional states.
Why is this important? Because this understanding leads to a world-class customer viewing experience, and the alternative is recommending just another war movie… of which there are more than 1,300 of and growing.
