Guri Heftye is head of Nordic Media Days, the long-running premium media conference in the Nordic, based in Bergen, Norway.
The conference gathers Nordic and international media executives from a broad range of the media landscape to share ideas, challenges and explore opportunities. Each year, more than 1800 delegates can choose between 50 unique sessions featuring approx. 150 renowned speakers.
Guri is an experienced journalist, TV host and producer with more than 30 years of experience from the media and advertising industry. She has worked for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s entertainment department, both as a developer and host (“Vis meg ditt kjøleskap,” “Portrettørene,” “Maraton”) in addition to her extensive work as a freelance journalist, where she amongst others contributed to publications like Red and Elle Magazine.
She has a Bachelor degree from Westerdals School of Communication and BI Norwegian Business School, and she worked as a copywriter at several high-profile advertising agencies before starting her television career.
Guri has served as a board member for the prestigious Bergen International Festival for eight years, and for Den Nationale Scene for three years. Today, she is a board member of Norway´s first and only climate festival “Varmere, Våtere, Villere” and serves as the chair of VEGA Scene in Oslo.
