We are proud to present Carmen Curlers as the opening event of Aarhus Series. We invite you to a pre premiere of episode 6 of the new big drama series on DR with cast and creators behind the series joining the stage to a screening and Q&A. It’s November 2.
The critically acclaimed series is inspired by real events in Denmark around 1960 when the company Carmen Curlers turned life upside down in the Danish homes. The series is a warm and humoristic story about big social changes, great ambitions and even greater hairdos.
The storyline begins in the basement of Axel’s home where he tries to make the product a world wide succes. But it’s not just about inventing great curlers because 1960 was a time for change. Carmen Curlers is also about changes in women’s role in society as they enter the job market and start having a private economy for the first time in Danish history.
These events does not only change women’s role in society but also affects the traditional family values. The future is coming, and Carmen Curlers is a tour de force in 60-nostalgia vibes. See you on the red carpet November 2.
The session will be in danish.
