Pernille Bech Christensen graduated from the National Danish Film School in 1987, The Editing Department and worked as an editor from 1987-2015 on both feature films and documentaries.
2011-2014 P.B.C. was appointed Commission Editor on the board for commercial feature film at the National Danish Film Institute.
Since 2015 Pernille Bech Christensen has been working as Executive Producer in the fiction department at the national broadcaster TV 2 Denmark.
Since 2016 member of the Academy of Motion Pictures.
Since 2018 studying a Diploma Degree in Cultural Leadership.
P.B.C. is an international editing consultant in both documentary and feature film and is also working as script consultant in Europa.
P.B.C teach regularly at The National Danish Film School and is part of the tutor team at doc.incubator.
P.B.C. has during her career been nominated and won several prices, including the Danish Academy Award for editing 2003 and the Television Award “Editor of the year” 2005.
Pernille Bech Christensen has edited all but one, of Susanne Biers extensive production of feature films.
Susanne Biers Danish feature film “After the weeding” was nominated for an Oscar in the category Foreign Language 2007.
Susanne Biers feature film “In a Better World” was nominated and won the acclaimed award Golden Globe and an Oscar in 2011. Her films and series have over the years had 39 wins and 36 nominations on festivals all over the world.
At THIS 2022 she will give a talk on TV2’s strategy for drama production from 2021-2025 and join the theme Nordic Trends together with drama bosses from the Nordic when she takes the stage for Stories that Connect Us
