Sabrina Vitting-Seerup did her PhD on the topic of cultural representation, focusing on how Danish cultural products depict ethnic minorities, genders and the LGBT+ community.
Her main interest was to find out what it does when we (forget to) represent marginalized voices – what are the potential consequences?
Sabrina is, however, probably best known for being the first Dane to win the World Public Speaking Championship back in 2016, but has performed regularly on stage since 2014 and won several prizes for doing so.
She now works with inclusive science communication as a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen and runs her science communication company, Ren Snak, where she often takes the stage to share her research, acts as moderator for major events, and teaches others to make better presentations.
At THIS 2022 Sabrina Vitting-Seerup will join our panel debate on sustainabilty and representation November 2.
