Head of New Writing, BBC

Jessica  Loveland is Head of New Writing, working across the BBC Writersroom and Drama Commissioning teams.

Jessica oversees all new writing talent development initiatives and works closely with the Writersroom team to ensure that the BBC creates a vibrant and inspiring home for new writers across the UK.

Previously, Jessica was Head of BFI NETWORK, the BFI’s UK-wide programme of talent development support for early career writers, directors and producers.

She has also worked as a Development and Production Executive with screen agency, Creative England, and as a Development Executive with Dublin-based production company, Blinder Films amongst other editorial roles.

At THIS 2022, Jessica Loveland will join us for the session, Championing the Writer, on November 3 and the masterclass of the same title on November 4.
