Tina Rygh

Screenwriter

Tina Rygh (b.1985) is a screenwriter from Oslo.

Tina Rygh is drawn to the darker aspects of comedy and aims for telling stories that make her audience feel bad for chuckling and surprised for shedding a tear through characters that are not necessarily that likeable.

With experiences in scriptwriting from Norwegian comedy shows such as Basic Bitch and Sigurd Can’t Get Laid, she now debuts as a creator with her own series, NEDE, about a young woman whose life is turned upside down by a traffic accident that kills her best friend and leaves her paralyzed from the waist down. The series premiered on Viaplay August 21.

At THIS 2022 she will join the stage together with Amalie Næsby Fick, Lisa Ambjörn and Nikolaj Feifer to give insight in their work in the session “New Nordic Storytellers“.
