Amalie Næsby Fick was born 1986 in Silkeborg, Denmark. She graduated from The National Film School of Denmark in 2016, and her film Ztriwer won a series of awards, among others Best Kids Film at CPH PIX.
Her feature film debut, Den utrolige historie om den kæmpestore pære (2017), won two Robert Awards for Best Adaptive Screenplay and Best Kids Film.
Shortly after, she directed the well-received series Sex, and her latest feature film, Lille Allan – Den Menneskelige Antenne premiered nationally and internationally in the Summer of 2022.
Together with Nikolaj Feifer, Amalie Næsby Fick created the Netflix Original series Skruk, which she also directed. The series premiered in 2022.
