Climate Representation in Media

SESSION

Climate content is no longer just political activism, it’s a natural part of all media content.

TV has the power to start conversations and entertain people in huge numbers, and now, the climate discussions are moving on from only being a part of the news department to having relevance in every genre on screen.

In this session, TV 2 Denmark will introduce their new 3-year content strategy on climate action. Climate action encompasses how we live our lives individually, how we act as citizens as part of a larger society, and what we can do on a broader scale.

With a range of different series, from fiction to factual entertainment, TV 2 will make sustainable climate action a natural part of everything we see and do.

TV 2 is behind Denmark’s most-watched TV channel and the country’s most-watched channel family. It is owned by the Danish state, and the public service channel is operated on a commercial basis.
